One of the biggest differences I see with all of the franchise candidates that I have worked with and with whom I am currently working is that they complete the investigation on which are the best franchises to own.
Some candidates are stuck in the "Fear" mode. "What if...?". The problem is that is where they remain. It is smart to have concerns, but do not get frozen in that fear and stop there. Franchising may or may not be for you, but think it through rather than getting stuck on that part of the "program loop" and becoming paralyzed.
Let me help you think that through. I only place about half of the people that I work with because this is not for everyone, but don't put that limit on yourself without having all of the information on the most profitable franchises or if it is a good fit for you.
Franchisors also give you a new "program" of how to run their concept. I have franchisees that were definitely NOT experts in their chosen concept, but that is the beauty. You do not need to be the expert. Typically, franchisees run the business and then they have a team that they lead to run the concept with the training that the team has received.
